  1  1    Amend House File 502, as amended, passed, and
  1  2 reprinted by the House, as follows:
  1  3    #1.  Page 4, by inserting after line 16, the
  1  4 following:
  1  5    "   .  This section does not apply to an animal
  1  6 facility convicted of a felony charge in the previous
  1  7 five years in any jurisdiction, including by any state
  1  8 or federal court or by a court of a foreign nation.
  1  9 For purposes of this subsection, a plea or verdict of
  1 10 guilty or a plea of nolo contendere or its equivalent
  1 11 is deemed to be a conviction."
  1 12    #2.  Page 7, by inserting after line 2, the
  1 13 following:
  1 14    "   .  This section does not apply to a crop
  1 15 operation convicted of a felony charge in the previous
  1 16 five years in any jurisdiction, including by any state
  1 17 or federal court or by a court of a foreign nation.
  1 18 For purposes of this subsection, a plea or verdict of
  1 19 guilty or a plea of nolo contendere or its equivalent
  1 20 is deemed to be a conviction."
