  1  1    Amend Senate File 278 as follows:
  1  2    #1.  Page 1, by inserting before line 1 the
  1  3 following:
  1  4    "Section 1.  Section 481A.48, unnumbered paragraph
  1  5 1, Code 2001, is amended to read as follows:
  1  6    No A person, except as otherwise provided by law,
  1  7 shall not willfully disturb, pursue, shoot, kill, take
  1  8 or attempt to take or have in possession any of the
  1  9 following game birds or animals except within the open
  1 10 season established by the commission:  Gray gray or
  1 11 fox squirrel, bobwhite quail, cottontail or jack
  1 12 rabbit, duck, snipe, pheasant, goose, woodcock,
  1 13 partridge, mourning dove, coot, rail, ruffed grouse,
  1 14 wild turkey, pigeons, or deer.  The seasons, bag
  1 15 limits, possession limits and locality shall be
  1 16 established by the department or commission under the
  1 17 authority of sections 456A.24, 481A.38, and 481A.39."
  1 18    #2.  Page 3, by inserting after line 1, the
  1 19 following:  
  1 20 "g.  Mourning dove fee ................................ $ 10.00"
  1 21    #3.  Page 4, by inserting after line 9 the
  1 22 following:
  1 23    "Sec.    .  NEW SECTION.  483A.8A  MOURNING DOVE
  1 24 FEE.
  1 25    A person sixteen years of age or older shall not
  1 26 hunt or take any mourning dove within this state
  1 27 without first paying a mourning dove fee.  The
  1 28 director shall determine the means and method of
  1 29 collecting the mourning dove fees."
  1 30    #4.  By renumbering as necessary.
