PAG LIN 1 1 Amend Senate File 106 as follows: 1 2 #1. Page 4, by striking lines 28 and 29, and 1 3 inserting the following: 1 4 "Sec. . Section 56.14, subsection 2, paragraph 1 5 a, Code 2001, is amended by striking the paragraph." 1 6 #2. Page 9, by inserting after line 24 the 1 7 following: 1 8 "Sec. . Section 183A.7, unnumbered paragraph 3, 1 9 Code 2001, is amended to read as follows: 1 10 From the moneys collected, deposited, and 1 11 transferred to the council as provided in this 1 12 chapter, the council shall first pay the costs of 1 13 referendums held pursuant to this chapter. Of the 1 14 moneys remaining,at least ten percent shall be1 15remitted to the national livestock and meat board and1 16the pork industry group;at least twenty-five percent 1 17 shall be remitted to the national pork producers 1 18 council;and at least fifteen percent shall be 1 19 remitted to the Iowa pork producers association, in 1 20 the proportion the committee determines, for use by 1 21 recipients in a manner not inconsistent with market 1 22 development as defined in section 183A.1. Moneys 1 23 remaining shall be spent as found necessary by the 1 24 council to further carry out the provisions and 1 25 purposes of this chapter." 1 26 #3. Page 13, by inserting after line 19, the 1 27 following: 1 28 "Sec. . Section 331.424A, subsection 4, Code 1 29 2001, is amended to read as follows: 1 30 4. For the fiscal year beginning July 1, 1996, and 1 31 for each subsequent fiscal year, the county shall 1 32 certify a levy for payment of services. For each 1 33 fiscal year, county revenues from taxes imposed by the 1 34 county credited to the services fund shall not exceed 1 35 an amount equal to the amount of base year 1 36 expenditures for services as defined in section 1 37 331.438, less the amount of property tax relief to be 1 38 received pursuant to section 426B.2, in the fiscal 1 39 year for which the budget is certified. The county 1 40 auditor and the board of supervisors shall reduce the 1 41 amount of the levy certified for the services fund by 1 42 the amount of property tax relief to be received. A 1 43 levy certified under this section is not subject to 1 44 the appeal provisions ofsectionssection 331.426and1 45444.25Bor to any other provision in law authorizing a 1 46 county to exceed, increase, or appeal a property tax 1 47 levy limit. 1 48 Sec. . Section 331.424B, Code 2001, is amended 1 49 to read as follows: 1 50 331.424B CEMETERY LEVY. 2 1 The board may levy annually a tax not to exceed six 2 2 and three-fourths cents per thousand dollars of the 2 3 assessed value of all taxable property in the county 2 4 to repair and maintain all cemeteries under the 2 5 jurisdiction of the board including pioneer cemeteries 2 6 and to pay other expenses of the board or the cemetery 2 7 commission as provided in section 331.325. The 2 8 proceeds of the tax levy shall be credited to the 2 9 county general fund.Sections 444.25A and 444.25B do2 10not apply to the property tax levied or expended for2 11cemeteries pursuant to section 331.325." 2 12 #4.
