PAG LIN 1 1 Section 1. Section 483A.1, subsection 1, paragraph c, Code 1 2 Supplement 2001, is amended to read as follows: 1 3 c. Hunting license........................... $12.5017.00 1 4 Sec. 2. NEW SECTION. 483A.25 PHEASANT AND QUAIL 1 5 RESTORATION PROGRAM. 1 6 Of the revenue received from the resident hunting license 1 7 fees pursuant to section 483A.1, subsection 1, paragraph "c", 1 8 the sum of five hundred thousand dollars per year for the 1 9 calendar years beginning January 1, 2003, and ending December 1 10 31, 2007, is appropriated to the department to fund a pheasant 1 11 and quail restoration program. 1 12 Sec. 3. EFFECTIVE AND APPLICABILITY DATE. Section 1 of 1 13 this Act takes effect December 15, 2001, and applies to 1 14 resident hunting licenses and fees beginning on or after 1 15 January 1, 2003. 1 16 EXPLANATION 1 17 This bill increases the resident hunting license fee by 1 18 $4.50 commencing with the license year being January 1, 2003. 1 19 Of the revenue received annually from the resident hunting 1 20 license fee, $500,000 per year for five years is appropriated 1 21 to the department of natural resources to fund a pheasant and 1 22 quail restoration program. 1 23 LSB 6893YC 79 1 24 tj/cls/14
