1 1 Section 1. 871 Iowa administrative code, rule 24.24,
1 2 subrule 8, is nullified.
1 3 Sec. 2. EFFECTIVE DATE. This joint resolution, being
1 4 deemed of immediate importance, takes effect upon enactment.
1 5 EXPLANATION
1 6 This joint resolution nullifies an administrative rule of
1 7 the department of workforce development that provides that an
1 8 offer of work or the order to apply for work and the
1 9 claimant's accompanying refusal must occur within the
1 10 individual's benefit year before the individual is
1 11 disqualified from receiving unemployment compensation pursuant
1 12 to Code section 96.5, subsection 3.
1 13 The joint resolution takes effect upon enactment.
