1 1 Section 1. NULLIFICATION OF WILD TURKEY HARVEST REPORTS.
1 2 1. 571 Iowa administrative code, rule 98.5, is nullified.
1 3 2. 571 Iowa administrative code, rule 98.16, is nullified.
1 4 Sec. 2. EFFECTIVE DATE. This joint resolution, being
1 5 deemed of immediate importance, takes effect upon enactment.
1 6 EXPLANATION
1 7 This joint resolution nullifies two administrative rules of
1 8 the department of natural resources which require a resident
1 9 or nonresident hunter to take a completed harvest report card
1 10 to a licensing agent within 48 hours of tagging a wild turkey
1 11 with a transportation tag and receive a verification tag which
1 12 must be attached to or placed on the turkey until the turkey
1 13 is processed for consumption. A wild turkey carcass cannot be
1 14 taken to a locker plant for processing without the
1 15 verification tag attached.
1 16 The joint resolution takes effect upon enactment.
