  1  1    Section 1.  Section 543D.2, subsection 4, Code 2001, is
  1  2 amended to read as follows:
  1  3    4.  "Appraisal report" means any written communication of
  1  4 an appraisal.
  1  5    Sec. 2.  Section 543D.14, Code 2001, is amended to read as
  1  6 follows:
  1  7    543D.14  CERTIFICATE.
  1  8    A certificate issued under this chapter shall bear the
  1  9 signatures signature or facsimile signatures signature of the
  1 10 member or members of the board as designated by the board and
  1 11 a certificate number assigned by the board.  
  1 12                           EXPLANATION
  1 13    This bill makes changes relating to the regulation of real
  1 14 estate appraisers.  The definition of the term "appraisal
  1 15 report" is changed to include any communication of an
  1 16 appraisal, instead of just those that are written.  The Code
  1 17 section that describes the real estate appraiser certificate
  1 18 is changed to provide that the certificate is to bear the
  1 19 signature or facsimile signature of the member or members of
  1 20 the real estate appraiser examining board who are designated
  1 21 by the board to perform that duty.
