1 1 Section 1. Section 543B.3, Code 2001, is amended by adding
1 2 the following new subsection:
1 3 NEW SUBSECTION. 9. Prepares documents, within the scope
1 4 of authority conferred under this chapter, necessary to
1 5 facilitate any of the actions listed in this section. Such
1 6 preparation may include modifications, amendments, and
1 7 addendums to documents.
1 8 EXPLANATION
1 9 This bill provides for the addition of document preparation
1 10 and modification to the list of acts defining the activities
1 11 of a real estate broker. The bill provides that a real estate
1 12 broker may prepare documents within the scope of the broker's
1 13 authority necessary to facilitate any of the authorized
1 14 actions of a real estate broker listed in Code section 543B.3.
1 15 The bill provides that the preparation may include
1 16 modifications, amendments, and addendums to existing
1 17 documents.
