1 4 AUTHORIZING THE DEPARTMENT OF JUSTICE TO ADMINISTER THE
1 5 VIOLENCE AGAINST WOMEN PROGRAM.

1 7 BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF IOWA:

1 9 Section 1. Section 13.31, Code 2001, is amended by adding
1 10 the following new subsection:
1 11 NEW SUBSECTION. 6. Administer the violence against women
1 12 program and grants received pursuant to the federal Violence
1 13 Against Women Act, Title IV of the Violent Crime Control and
1 14 Law Enforcement Act of 1994, Pub. L. No. 103-322, 42 U.S.C. }
1 15 13701.
