  1  1    Section 1.  Section 483A.1A, subsection 7, paragraph d,
  1  2 Code Supplement 2001, is amended to read as follows:
  1  3    d.  Is a member of the armed forces of the United States
  1  4 who is serving on active duty, claims residency in this state,
  1  5 and has filed a state individual income tax return as a
  1  6 resident pursuant to chapter 422, division II, for the
  1  7 preceding tax year, is stationed in this state, and is
  1  8 temporarily residing in this state.  
  1  9                           EXPLANATION
  1 10    This bill provides that members of the armed forces who are
  1 11 serving on active duty, are stationed in this state, and are
  1 12 temporarily residing in this state shall be considered
  1 13 residents for the purpose of purchasing hunting, fishing, and
  1 14 trapping licenses or licenses for related activities.
