1 1 Section 1. NEW SECTION. 28H.6 ANNUAL SERVICES MEETING.
1 2 For calendar years 2003 through 2007, each council of
1 3 governments or planning commission identified in section 28H.1
1 4 shall annually convene a joint meeting of the cities and
1 5 counties that are dues-paying members of the council of
1 6 governments or planning commission to evaluate services
1 7 provided by the member cities and counties and to consider
1 8 joint services agreements between those cities and counties
1 9 with the aim of eliminating duplicate services in the area.
1 10 EXPLANATION
1 11 This bill requires each council of governments or planning
1 12 commission identified in Code chapter 28H to meet with its
1 13 members to evaluate services provided by the member
1 14 governments and to consider joint services agreements between
1 15 the members in order to eliminate duplicate services.
1 16 The meetings are to be held on an annual basis for five
1 17 calendar years beginning with calendar year 2003.
