  1  1    Section 1.  Section 321.1, subsection 40, paragraph b, Code
  1  2 Supplement 2001, is amended to read as follows:
  1  3    b.  "Motorized bicycle" or "motor bicycle" means a motor
  1  4 vehicle having a saddle or a seat for the use of a rider and
  1  5 designed to travel on not more than three wheels in contact
  1  6 with the ground, with an engine having a displacement no
  1  7 greater than fifty cubic centimeters and not capable of
  1  8 operating at a speed in excess of twenty-five thirty miles per
  1  9 hour on level ground unassisted by human power.  
  1 10                           EXPLANATION
  1 11    This bill redefines a motorized bicycle or motor bicycle by
  1 12 increasing the operational speed provision of the current
  1 13 definition from 25 miles per hour to 30 miles per hour.
