1 1 Section 1. Section 321G.13, subsection 10, Code Supplement
1 2 2001, is amended by striking the subsection.
1 3 Sec. 2. Section 321G.13, Code Supplement 2001, is amended
1 4 by adding the following new unnumbered paragraph:
1 5 NEW UNNUMBERED PARAGRAPH. A person shall not drive or
1 6 operate a snowmobile on public land without a measurable snow
1 7 cover.
1 8 EXPLANATION
1 9 This bill removes the restriction on the use of an all-
1 10 terrain vehicle on public land without a measurable snow
1 11 cover. The bill preserves the restriction on the use of a
1 12 snowmobile on public land without a measurable snow cover by
1 13 the creation of a new unnumbered paragraph in Code section
1 14 321G.13. A violation of the restriction would continue to be
1 15 punished as a simple misdemeanor under Code section 321G.14.
