1 1 Section 1. NEW SECTION. 100.40A OPEN BURNING
1 2 NOTIFICATION.
1 3 1. A person shall not conduct an open burn without
1 4 providing the local fire department or a 911 service with
1 5 notification at least one day prior to conducting the open
1 6 burn.
1 7 2. For purposes of this section, "911 service" means the
1 8 same as defined in section 34.1.
1 9 3. A person violating a provision of this section is
1 10 guilty of a simple misdemeanor punishable by a fine of one
1 11 hundred dollars.
1 12 EXPLANATION
1 13 This bill relates to open burning notification
1 14 requirements.
1 15 The bill prohibits a person from conducting an open burn
1 16 without providing a local fire department or a 911 service
1 17 with notification at least one day prior to conducting the
1 18 open burn. The bill provides that a person violating a
1 19 provision of this section is guilty of a simple misdemeanor
1 20 punishable by a fine of $100.
