  1  1    Section 1.  Section 7A.11A, Code 2001, is amended to read
  1  2 as follows:
  1  3    7A.11A  REPORTS TO THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY.
  1  4    All reports required to be filed with the general assembly
  1  5 by a state department or agency shall be filed by delivering
  1  6 one printed copy and one copy in electronic format as
  1  7 prescribed by the secretary of the senate and the chief clerk
  1  8 of the house.  
  1  9                           EXPLANATION
  1 10    This bill provides that a state department or agency report
  1 11 required to be filed with the general assembly need only be
  1 12 filed in an electronic format.  Current law requires that each
  1 13 report required to be filed shall be filed in both a printed
  1 14 and electronic format.
