1 1 Section 1. Section 22.7, Code 2001, is amended by adding
1 2 the following new subsection:
1 3 NEW SUBSECTION. 43. All information contained in records
1 4 regarding the application for and issuance of a permit to a
1 5 special state agent involved in narcotics investigations,
1 6 pursuant to section 724.6, 724.10, 724.11, 724.15, 724.17,
1 7 724.19, or 724.23.
1 8 EXPLANATION
1 9 This bill establishes confidentiality provisions in the
1 10 public records chapter pertaining to certain weapons and
1 11 pistol or revolver permits. The bill provides that all
1 12 information contained in records regarding an application for
1 13 and issuance of a permit to a special state agent involved in
1 14 narcotics investigations shall be kept confidential.
