PAG LIN 1 1 Section 1. Section 321.37, unnumbered paragraph 2, Code 1 2 2001, is amended to read as follows: 1 3 Registration plates issued for a motor vehiclewhichthat 1 4 ismodel year 1948twenty-five years old or older, and 1 5 reconstructed or specially constructed vehicles built to 1 6 resemble amodel year 1948motor vehicle that is twenty-five 1 7 years old or older, other than a truck registered for more 1 8 than five tons, motorcycle, or truck tractor, may display one 1 9 registration plate on the rear of the vehicle if the other 1 10 registration plate issuedtofor the vehicle is carried in the 1 11 vehicle at all times when the vehicle is operated on a public 1 12 highway. 1 13 EXPLANATION 1 14 This bill allows motor vehicles that are 25 years old or 1 15 older, or reconstructed or specially constructed motor 1 16 vehicles that are built to resemble a motor vehicle that is 25 1 17 years old or older, other than heavy trucks, motorcycles, and 1 18 truck tractors, to display one registration plate on the rear 1 19 of the vehicle if the other registration plate issued for the 1 20 vehicle is carried in the vehicle. Currently, this allowance 1 21 is made only for motor vehicles that are model year 1948 or 1 22 older or reconstructed or specially constructed vehicles built 1 23 to resemble a model year 1948 vehicle or older. 1 24 LSB 2905HH 79 1 25 nh/cls/14
