  1  4 ADDING THE OFFENSE OF CRIMINAL TRANSMISSION OF HUMAN 
  1  5    IMMUNODEFICIENCY VIRUS TO THE LIST OF CRIMINAL OFFENSES THAT
  1  6    REQUIRE REGISTRATION UNDER THE SEX OFFENDER REGISTRY AND 
  1  7    PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.  
  1  8 
  1  9 BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF IOWA:
  1 10 
  1 11    Section 1.  Section 692A.1, subsection 1, Code 2001, is
  1 12 amended by adding the following new paragraph:
  1 13    NEW PARAGRAPH.  i.  Criminal transmission of human
  1 14 immunodeficiency virus in violation of section 709C.1,
  1 15 subsection 1, paragraph "a".
  1 16    Sec. 2.  EFFECTIVE DATE.  This Act, being deemed of
  1 17 immediate importance, takes effect upon enactment.
