1 1 Section 1. Section 13.10, subsection 1, Code 2001, is
1 2 amended by adding the following new paragraphs:
1 3 NEW PARAGRAPH. h. Any assault other than a simple
1 4 misdemeanor assault committed by an adult upon a child in
1 5 violation of chapter 708.
1 6 NEW PARAGRAPH. i. Lascivious acts with a child in
1 7 violation of section 709.8.
1 8 NEW PARAGRAPH. j. Indecent contact with a child in
1 9 violation of section 709.12.
1 10 NEW PARAGRAPH. k. Lascivious conduct with a minor in
1 11 violation of section 709.14.
1 12 NEW PARAGRAPH. l. Sexual misconduct with a juvenile in
1 13 violation of section 709.16, subsection 2.
1 14 NEW PARAGRAPH. m. Enticing away a child in violation of
1 15 section 710.10.
1 16 EXPLANATION
1 17 This bill increases the number of criminal offenses listed
1 18 in Code section 13.10 that require an offender to submit to
1 19 DNA profiling.
1 20 The bill provides that a person who is convicted of the
1 21 following offenses shall submit a physical specimen for DNA
1 22 profiling: any assault other than a simple misdemeanor
1 23 assault committed by an adult against a child, lascivious acts
1 24 or conduct with a child, indecent contact with a child, sexual
1 25 misconduct with a juvenile, and enticing away a child.
