  1  4 RELATING TO FELONIOUS MISCONDUCT BY A PUBLIC OFFICER OR EMPLOYEE
  1  5    AND PROVIDING A PENALTY.

  1  7 BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF IOWA:
  1  8 
  1  9    Section 1.  Section 721.1, Code 2001, is amended by adding
  1 10 the following new subsections:
  1 11    NEW SUBSECTION.  3.  Falsifies a writing, or knowingly
  1 12 delivers a falsified writing, with the knowledge that the
  1 13 writing is falsified and that the writing will become a public
  1 14 record of a government body.
  1 15    NEW SUBSECTION.  4.  For purposes of this section,
  1 16 "government body" and "public record" mean the same as defined
  1 17 in section 22.1.
