1 1 Section 1. RESIDENT ADVOCATE COORDINATORS. There is
1 2 appropriated from the general fund of the state to the
1 3 department of elder affairs for the fiscal year beginning July
1 4 1, 2001, and ending June 30, 2002, the following amount, or so
1 5 much thereof as is necessary, to be used for the purpose
1 6 designated:
1 7 For additional resident advocate committee support:
1 8 .................................................. $ 90,000
1 9 Funds appropriated in this section shall be disbursed by
1 10 the director of the department of elder affairs over a two-
1 11 year period to assist resident advocate coordinators employed
1 12 through area agencies on aging in providing training and
1 13 assistance to volunteer members of resident advocate
1 14 committees.
1 15 EXPLANATION
1 16 This bill appropriates from the general fund of the state
1 17 to the department of elder affairs for the fiscal year
1 18 beginning July 1, 2001, and ending June 30, 2002, $90,000.
1 19 The bill provides that the funds shall be disbursed by the
1 20 director of the department of elder affairs over a two-year
1 21 period to assist resident advocate coordinators employed
1 22 through area agencies on aging in providing training and
1 23 assistance to volunteer members of resident advocate
1 24 committees.
