  1  1    Amend House File 2623 as follows:
  1  2    #1.  Page 18, by inserting after line 27, the
  1  3 following:
  1  4    "Sec.    .  Section 321.182, subsection 1, Code
  1  5 Supplement 2001, as amended by 2002 Iowa Acts, Senate
  1  6 File 2192, section 23, is amended to read as follows:
  1  7    1.  a.  Make application on a form provided by the
  1  8 department which shall include the applicant's full
  1  9 name, signature, current mailing address, current
  1 10 residential address, date of birth, social security
  1 11 number, and physical description including sex,
  1 12 height, and eye color.  The application may contain
  1 13 other information the department may require by rule.
  1 14 Pursuant to procedures established by the department
  1 15 and for an applicant who is a foreign national
  1 16 temporarily present in this state, the department may
  1 17 waive the requirement that the application include the
  1 18 applicant's social security number.  The department
  1 19 shall waive the social security number requirement for
  1 20 a foreign national's application for a noncommercial
  1 21 driver's license or a nonoperator's identification
  1 22 card.
  1 23    b.  A licensee shall notify the department when the
  1 24 licensee's mailing address changes and provide the new
  1 25 address within thirty days of obtaining the new
  1 26 address.  The application provided by the department
  1 27 shall include a statement for the applicant to sign
  1 28 that acknowledges the applicant's knowledge of the
  1 29 requirement to notify the department of a mailing
  1 30 address change.  The penalty under section 321.482
  1 31 shall not apply to a licensee's failure to notify the
  1 32 department of such an address change."
  1 33    #2.  By renumbering, redesignating, and correcting
  1 34 internal references as necessary.
