  1  1    Amend Senate File 2325, as amended, passed, and
  1  2 reprinted by the Senate, as follows:
  1  3    #1.  Page 28, by striking lines 8 through 11 and
  1  4 inserting the following:
  1  5    "Sec.    .  Section 135.61, subsection 2, Code
  1  6 2001, is amended by striking the subsection and
  1  7 inserting in lieu thereof the following:
  1  8    2.  "Birth center" means a facility, institution,
  1  9 or place, which is not an ambulatory surgical center
  1 10 or a hospital or in a hospital, in which births are
  1 11 planned to occur away from the mother's usual
  1 12 residence following a normal, uncomplicated, low-risk
  1 13 pregnancy."
  1 14    #2.  By renumbering as necessary.
