1 20 shall be distributed on a per pupil basis to school

1 23 technology, subject to the restrictions of section
1 24 256D.8, subsection 1, Code Supplement 2001. The
1 25 moneys appropriated in this lettered paragraph shall
1 26 be allocated to school districts in the proportion
1 27 that the basic enrollment of a school district and the
1 28 participating accredited nonpublic schools located
1 29 within the school district for the budget year bears
1 30 to the sum of the basic enrollments of all school
1 31 districts and participating accredited nonpublic
1 32 schools in the state for the budget year. For purposes
1 33 of this lettered paragraph, "school district" means a
1 34 school district, the Iowa braille and sight saving
1 35 school, the state school for the deaf, the Price
1 36 laboratory school at the university of northern Iowa,
1 37 and the institutions under the control of the
1 38 department of human services as provided in section
1 39 218.1, subsections 1 through 3, 5, 7, and 8.
1 40 The moneys appropriated in this lettered paragraph
1 41 shall be allocated to school districts for the
1 42 purchase of technology for accredited nonpublic
1 43 schools as provided in 2001 Iowa Acts, chapter 189,
1 44 section 14.
1 45 A participating accredited nonpublic school, the
1 46 Iowa braille and sight saving school, the state school
1 47 for the deaf, the Price laboratory school at the
1 48 university of northern Iowa, and the department of
1 49 human services on behalf of the institutions under the
1 50 department's control as provided in section 218.1,
2 1 subsections 1 through 3, 5, 7, and 8, shall certify
2 2 their basic enrollments or average student yearly
2 3 enrollment, as applicable, to the department of
2 4 education by October 1, 2002."

2 22 competitive bidding and all other requirements of
2 23 section 18.6, subsection 9, and any rules adopted
2 24 pursuant to that subsection."
