  1  1    Amend the amendment, H-8034, to House File 268 as
  1  2 follows:
  1  3    #1.  Page 1, by inserting before line 39 the
  1  4 following:
  1  5    "Sec.    .  Section 805.8A, subsection 5, paragraph
  1  6 b, Code Supplement 2001, is amended to read as
  1  7 follows:
  1  8    b.  Notwithstanding paragraph "a", for excessive
  1  9 speed violations in speed zones greater than fifty-
  1 10 five miles per hour, the scheduled fine shall be:
  1 11    (1)  Ten Twenty-five dollars for speed not more
  1 12 than five miles per hour in excess of the limit.
  1 13    (2)  Twenty Fifty dollars for speed greater than
  1 14 five but not more than ten nine miles per hour in
  1 15 excess of the limit.
  1 16    (3)  Forty One hundred dollars for a speed greater
  1 17 than ten but not more than fifteen of ten miles per
  1 18 hour in excess of the limit.
  1 19    (4)  Sixty dollars for speed greater than fifteen
  1 20 but not more than twenty miles per hour in excess of
  1 21 the limit.
  1 22    (5) (4)  Sixty One hundred dollars plus two ten
  1 23 dollars for each mile per hour of excessive speed over
  1 24 twenty ten miles per hour over the limit.
  1 25    Sec.    .  SPEEDING FINE INCREASES – APPROPRIATION
  1 26 FOR SERVICES FOR PERSONS WITH BRAIN OR SPINAL CORD
  1 27 INJURIES.  Notwithstanding sections 602.8106 and
  1 28 602.8108, when a peace officer issues a citation for
  1 29 speeding for which a scheduled fine is assessed under
  1 30 section 805.8A, subsection 5, paragraph "b", as
  1 31 amended by this Act, thirty-three and one-third
  1 32 percent of the increase in such fine, as provided for
  1 33 in this Act, is appropriated to the department of
  1 34 human services for development of comprehensive
  1 35 treatment services for persons with brain or spinal
  1 36 cord injuries."
  1 37    #2.  Page 1, by inserting after line 40 the
  1 38 following:
  1 39    "#   .  Title page, by striking line 3 and
  1 40 inserting the following:  "highways, and increasing
  1 41 fines and making appropriations.""
  1 42    3.  By renumbering as necessary.
