1 2 #1. Page 3, by inserting after line 27 the
1 3 following:
1 4 "Sec. . NEW SECTION. 135M.4 INSTALLATION OF
1 5 VIDEO CAMERA BY RESIDENT OR FAMILY MEMBER.
1 6 A resident or family member of a resident of a
1 7 health care provider may install a video camera at the
1 8 resident's or family member's expense in the nursing
1 9 facility, residential care facility, or assisted
1 10 living program where the resident is living. The
1 11 video camera shall be installed in a manner that
1 12 limits the range of the camera to view only the
1 13 resident and the area immediately contiguous to the
1 14 resident, and shall not include areas shared by other
1 15 residents of the facility or program where the
1 16 resident is living. Such a video camera shall not
1 17 interfere with employee or resident movement and shall
1 18 not violate the structural integrity of the facility
1 19 or program."
1 20 #2. Title page, line 2, by inserting after the
1 21 word "providers" the following: ", including a family
1 22 member's right to monitor those services,".
1 23 #3. By renumbering as necessary.
