1 21 1. As used in this section, "department of
1 22 commerce, professional licensing boards" means the
1 23 boards or commissions for the engineers and land
1 24 surveyors under chapter 542B, accountants under
1 25 chapter 542C, real estate brokers and salespersons
1 26 under chapter 543B, real estate appraisers under 543D,
1 27 architects under chapter 544A, and landscape
1 28 architects under chapter 544B.
1 29 2. Notwithstanding the obligation to collect fees
1 30 pursuant to the provisions of sections 542B.12,
1 31 542C.15, 543B.14, 543D.6, 544A.11, and 544B.14, for
1 32 the fiscal year beginning July 1, 2001, and ending
1 33 June 30, 2002, the professional licensing and
1 34 regulation division may refund all or a portion of
1 35 these fees to the filer pursuant to rules established
1 36 by the department of commerce, professional licensing
1 37 boards. The decision of the division not to issue a
1 38 refund under rules established by the department of
1 39 commerce, professional licensing boards is final and
1 40 not subject to review pursuant to the provisions of
1 41 the Iowa administrative procedure Act."

2 32 "Sec. . Notwithstanding the requirement in
2 33 section 9.6, that the secretary of state publish in
2 34 odd-numbered years the Iowa official register, the
2 35 secretary of state shall not publish the Iowa official
2 36 register in the 2001 calendar year. Any references in
2 37 the Code to the distribution and contents of the Iowa
2 38 official register shall not apply to the 2001 and 2002
2 39 calendar years.
2 40 Sec. . SECRETARY OF STATE FILING FEES REFUND.
2 41 Notwithstanding the obligation to collect fees
2 42 pursuant to the provisions of section 490.122,
2 43 subsection 1, paragraphs "a" and "s" and section
2 44 504A.85, subsections 1 and 9, for the fiscal year
2 45 beginning July 1, 2001, and ending June 30, 2002, the
2 46 secretary of state may refund these fees to the filer
2 47 pursuant to rules established by the secretary of
2 48 state. The decision of the secretary of state not to
2 49 issue a refund under rules established by the
2 50 secretary of state is final and not subject to review
3 1 pursuant to the provisions of the Iowa administrative
3 2 procedure Act."
