1 1 Amend House File 747 as follows:
1 2 #1. Page 1, by inserting after line 17, the
1 3 following:
1 4 "Sec. . Section 99F.11, Code 2001, is amended
1 5 by adding the following new unnumbered paragraph:
1 6 NEW UNNUMBERED PARAGRAPH. Beginning January 1,
1 7 2003, and for subsequent years, the commission shall
1 8 determine the total tax revenue which would have been
1 9 generated under section 99F.11, Code 2001. If the
1 10 total amount so determined is greater than the amount
1 11 estimated to be generated by the tax rates in effect
1 12 under this section for the calendar year 2003 and for
1 13 each subsequent calendar year as applicable, the
1 14 commission, notwithstanding the adjusted gross
1 15 receipts tax rates specified for excursion gambling
1 16 boats under this section, shall adjust the tax rates
1 17 on the adjusted gross receipts for the excursion
1 18 gambling boats so that the total tax revenue will
1 19 equal the tax revenue estimated under section 99F.11,
1 20 Code 2001. If the amount so determined is less, the
1 21 tax rate on the excursion gambling boats shall not be
1 22 changed."
1 23 #2. Title page, line 1, by inserting after the
1 24 word "Act" the following: "relating to gambling by
1 25 providing for the adjustment of tax rates on gambling
1 26 games on excursion gambling boats,".
