1 2 reprinted by the Senate, as follows:
1 3 #1. By striking everything after the enacting
1 4 clause and inserting the following:
1 5 "Section 1. APPROPRIATION OF MONEYS DEPOSITED IN
1 6 THE TEACHER COMPENSATION REFORM AND STUDENT
1 7 ACHIEVEMENT SAVINGS ACCOUNT FUND. Moneys deposited in
1 8 the teacher compensation reform and student
1 9 achievement savings account fund created in section
1 10 12.90, as of July 1, 2001, if House File 413 is
1 11 enacted by the Seventy-ninth General Assembly, 2001
1 12 Session, are appropriated to the department of
1 13 education for distribution to school districts as
1 14 provided in this section. Moneys appropriated in this
1 15 section shall be allocated to school districts in the
1 16 proportion that the basic enrollment of a school
1 17 district bears to the sum of the basic enrollments of
1 18 all school districts in the state for the budget year.
1 19 A school district shall expend funds received pursuant
1 20 to this section for purposes of implementing teacher
1 21 compensation reform and student achievement measures
1 22 pursuant to the provisions of a collective bargaining
1 23 agreement negotiated under the provisions of chapter
1 24 20.
1 25 Sec. 2. ALLOCATION AND USE OF PHASE I MONEYS.
1 26 Notwithstanding the provisions of chapter 294A, moneys
1 27 appropriated and allocated in an amount to meet the
1 28 minimum salary requirements of chapter 294A for
1 29 purposes of phase I for the fiscal year beginning July
1 30 1, 2001, and ending June 30, 2002, shall be allocated
1 31 to school districts in the proportion that the basic
1 32 enrollment of a school district bears to the sum of
1 33 the basic enrollments of all school districts in the
1 34 state for the budget year. A school district shall
1 35 expend funds received pursuant to this section for
1 36 purposes of implementing teacher compensation reform
1 37 measures pursuant to the provisions of a collective
1 38 bargaining agreement negotiated under the provisions
1 39 of chapter 20."
1 40 #2. Title page, by striking lines 1 and 2 and
1 41 inserting the following: "An Act relating to and
1 42 making appropriations of moneys for purposes of
1 43 teacher compensation reform and student achievement."
