1 3 #1. Page 13, by inserting before line 33, the
1 4 following:
1 5 " . For purposes of this section and section
1 6 25B.2, subsection 3, it shall be considered an
1 7 imposition of a state mandate if the maximum property
1 8 tax dollars limitation impairs the ability of a county
1 9 to levy property taxes to contribute matching funds,
1 10 or to reach a threshold level of local funding, in
1 11 order to receive federal funding. The state shall
1 12 appropriate funds necessary to reimburse to each
1 13 county an amount equal to the amount of federal or
1 14 state matching funds lost due to the inability of the
1 15 county to achieve threshold or matching funds
1 16 requirements."
1 17 #2. By renumbering, redesignating, and correcting
1 18 internal references as necessary.
