  1  1    Amend amendment, H-1706, to House File 714 as
  1  2 follows:
  1  3    #1.  Page 1, by striking line 7, and inserting the
  1  4 following:
  1  5    "Sec.    .  Section 422.45, subsection 59,
  1  6 paragraph a, subparagraph (2), Code 2001, is amended
  1  7 to read as follows:
  1  8    (2)  The sale takes place during a period beginning
  1  9 at 12:01 a.m. on the first Friday in February and
  1 10 ending at midnight on the following Saturday or during
  1 11 a period beginning at 12:01 a.m. on the first Friday
  1 12 in August and ending at midnight on the following
  1 13 Saturday.
  1 14    Sec. 100.  Section 422.45, Code 2001, is amended".
  1 15    #2.  Page 1, line 36, by inserting before the word
  1 16 "and" the following:  ", extending the annual sales
  1 17 tax exemption days,".
