1 5 "101. BEGINNING TEACHER INDUCTION PROGRAM
1 6 For purposes of the beginning teacher induction
1 7 program as provided in section 256E.2:
1 8 .................................................. $ 2,400,000
1 9 Notwithstanding section 8.33, moneys appropriated
1 10 in this subsection that remain unencumbered or
1 11 unobligated at the close of the fiscal year shall not
1 12 revert but shall remain available for expenditure for
1 13 the purposes designated until the close of the
1 14 succeeding fiscal year.
1 15 102. NATIONAL BOARD CERTIFICATION
1 16 For the issuance of national board certification
1 17 awards in accordance with section 256.44:
1 18 .................................................. $ 1,900,000
1 19 Notwithstanding section 8.33, funds appropriated
1 20 for purposes of this subsection which remain
1 21 unencumbered or unobligated at the close of the fiscal
1 22 year, shall not revert but shall be available for
1 23 expenditure for purposes of issuing national board
1 24 certification awards during the succeeding fiscal
1 25 year."
1 26 #2. Page 27, by inserting after line 4 the
1 27 following:
1 28 "Sec. . CONTINGENT EFFECTIVE DATE. Section 6,
1 29 subsections 101 and 102 of this Act, relating to the
1 30 beginning teacher induction program and to national
1 31 board certification awards, take effect only if the
1 32 Seventy-ninth General Assembly during its 2001 regular
1 33 session does not otherwise appropriate funds for those
1 34 purposes."
1 35 #3. Title page, line 4, by inserting after the
1 36 word "regents" the following: ", and providing a
1 37 contingent effective date".
