  1  1    Amend the House amendment, S-3377, to Senate File
  1  2 458, as passed by the Senate, as follows:
  1  3    #1.  Page 2, by striking lines 42 through 49, and
  1  4 inserting the following:
  1  5    "Sec. ___.  CLIENT FINANCIAL PARTICIPATION.  The
  1  6 department of human services shall work with private
  1  7 providers of psychiatric medical institution for
  1  8 children (PMIC) services to eliminate or substantially
  1  9 reduce the requirement that PMIC providers must
  1 10 collect client financial participation in the cost of
  1 11 services and during fiscal year 2001-2002 shall submit
  1 12 to the governor and general assembly proposals to
  1 13 achieve this purpose."
  1 14    #2.  Page 3, by striking lines 2 through 6, and
  1 15 inserting the following:
  1 16    "NEW SUBSECTION.  3.  Except for those psychiatric
  1 17 medical institutions for children which are
  1 18 specialized to provide substance abuse treatment,
  1 19 unless expressly authorized in statute, the department
  1 20 of human services shall not include services provided
  1 21 by psychiatric medical institutions for children in
  1 22 any managed care contract.""
  1 23    #3.  By renumbering as necessary.
