1 2 #1. Page 4, by striking lines 4 through 24, and
1 3 inserting the following:
1 4 "Of the funds appropriated in this subsection,
1 5 $200,000 shall be used for provision of educational
1 6 opportunities to registered child care home providers
1 7 in order to improve services and programs offered by
1 8 this category of providers and to increase the number
1 9 of providers. The department may contract with
1 10 institutions of higher education or child care
1 11 resource and referral centers to provide the
1 12 educational opportunities. Allowable administrative
1 13 costs under the contracts shall not exceed 5 percent.
1 14 The application for a grant shall not exceed two pages
1 15 in length."
