PAG LIN 1 1 Amend House File 732 as follows: 1 2 #1. Page 48, by striking lines 14 through 17, and 1 3 inserting the following: 1 4 "b. (1) For the fiscal year beginning July 1, 1 5 2001, the department shall reimburse pharmacy 1 6 dispensing fees using a single rate of $5.17 per 1 7 prescription or the pharmacy's usual and customary 1 8 fee, whichever is lower." 1 9 #2. Page 48, by inserting after line 30, the 1 10 following: 1 11 "(5) Beginning October 1, 2001, the department 1 12 shall implement a state maximum allowable cost list 1 13 for prescription drugs. The department shall consult 1 14 with its fiscal agent and the drug utilization review 1 15 commission, at no additional cost to the department, 1 16 to determine the drug list that will provide the 1 17 department with the most significant cost savings in 1 18 the shortest period of time. In order to expedite 1 19 implementation, the department may implement the drug 1 20 list using a sole source contract during the initial 1 21 year of implementation. The department shall report 1 22 to the general assembly and the governor, on or before 1 23 January 14, 2002, identifying the entity with which 1 24 the department enters the contract to implement the 1 25 program and whether the contract is a sole source 1 26 contract. The report shall include a recommendation 1 27 regarding continuation of the initial contract, and if 1 28 the initial contract is a sole source contract, 1 29 whether a sole source process or a request for 1 30 proposals process should be used to determine the 1 31 contractor for any subsequent contract entered into 1 32 during the fiscal year beginning July 1, 2002." 1 33 1 34 1 35 1 36 HEATON of Henry 1 37 1 38 1 39 1 40 OSTERHAUS of Jackson 1 41 HF 732.504 79 1 42 pf/pj
