PAG LIN 1 1 Amend Senate File 336, as amended, passed, and 1 2 reprinted by the Senate, as follows: 1 3 #1. Page 1, by inserting after line 23 the 1 4 following: 1 5 "Sec. 2. Section 279.13, subsection 1, unnumbered 1 6 paragraph 2, Code 2001, is amended to read as follows: 1 7 The board of directors of a school district shall 1 8 not offer to enter into or enter into a contract for 1 9 employment with a teacher who is under contract with 1 10 another board of directors for the same time period 1 11 unless the school district that has previously entered 1 12 into a contract with the teacher releases the teacher, 1 13 in writing, from the contract. The contract is 1 14 invalid if the teacher is under contract with another 1 15 board of directors to teach during the same time 1 16 perioduntil a release from the other contract is1 17achieved. The contract shall be signed by the 1 18 president of the board when tendered, and after it is 1 19 signed by the teacher, the contract shall be filed 1 20 with the secretary of the board before the teacher 1 21 enters into performance under the contract." 1 22 #2.
