  1  1    Amend Senate File 348, as amended, passed, and
  1  2 reprinted by the Senate, as follows:
  1  3    #1.  Page 17, by inserting after line 1 the
  1  4 following:
  1  5    "Sec.    .  CONTINGENT EFFECTIVENESS.  This Act is
  1  6 effective contingent upon an appropriation by the
  1  7 Seventy-ninth General Assembly, First Session, for the
  1  8 fiscal year beginning July 1, 2001, to the department
  1  9 of education in an amount sufficient to administer the
  1 10 pilot charter school program as set forth by this
  1 11 Act."
  1 12    #2.  Title page, line 2, by striking the words "a
  1 13 conditional effective date" and inserting the
  1 14 following:  "conditional and contingent
  1 15 effectiveness".
  1 16    #3.  By renumbering as necessary.
