  1  1    Amend Senate File 348, as amended, passed, and
  1  2 reprinted by the Senate, as follows:
  1  3    #1.  Page 8, line 32, by inserting after the word
  1  4 "employees." the following:  "However, the procedure
  1  5 for discharge of a teacher shall be as provided in
  1  6 sections 279.15 through 279.19, and 279.27."
  1  7    #2.  Page 9, by striking lines 5 through 7, and
  1  8 inserting the following:  "directors of a charter
  1  9 school is a public employer for the purposes of
  1 10 chapter 20.  The collective bargaining agreement of
  1 11 the district in which the pilot charter school is
  1 12 located shall serve as the base agreement and the
  1 13 employees of the pilot charter school shall
  1 14 automatically be accreted to the bargaining unit of
  1 15 that collective bargaining agreement for purposes of
  1 16 negotiating the contracts for the pilot charter
  1 17 school's initial year of operation without further
  1 18 action by the public employment relations board.  The
  1 19 pilot charter school board, using the base agreement
  1 20 as its existing contract, shall bargain with the
  1 21 employees of the pilot charter school for the pilot
  1 22 charter school's initial school year unless a
  1 23 bargaining agreement was already concluded by the
  1 24 school district and its employees for that school
  1 25 year.  After the pilot charter school's initial year
