  1  1    Amend Senate File 240, as amended, passed, and
  1  2 reprinted by the Senate, as follows:
  1  3    #1.  Page 3, by inserting after line 3 the
  1  4 following:
  1  5    "Sec.    .  CONDITIONAL EFFECTIVENESS.  This Act
  1  6 takes effect only if 2001 Iowa Acts, Senate File 476
  1  7 or House File 672 is enacted, and if the general
  1  8 assembly appropriates not less than $40 million for
  1  9 the fiscal year beginning July 1, 2001, and ending
  1 10 June 30, 2002, for the purpose of funding the
  1 11 implementation of Senate File 476 or House File 672."
  1 12    #2.  Title page, line 2, by inserting after the
  1 13 word "program" the following:  "and providing for
  1 14 conditional effectiveness".
  1 15    #3.  By renumbering as necessary.
