  1  1    Amend Senate File 342, as passed by the Senate, as
  1  2 follows:
  1  3    #1.  Page 1, lines 1 and 2, by striking the words
  1  4 and figure "unnumbered paragraph 2,".
  1  5    #2.  Page 1, by striking lines 3 through 7, and
  1  6 inserting the following:
  1  7    "3.  A precinct election official shall require any
  1  8 person whose name does not appear on the election
  1  9 register as an active voter to show identification.
  1 10 Specific documents which are acceptable forms of
  1 11 identification shall be prescribed by the state
  1 12 commissioner.
  1 13    A precinct election official may shall require of
  1 14 the voter unknown to the official, identification upon
  1 15 which the voter's signature or mark appears. in the
  1 16 form of one of the following:
  1 17    a.  A valid voter registration card.
  1 18    b.  A valid Iowa driver's license.
  1 19    c.  A valid nonoperator's identification card.
  1 20    d.  A valid identification card issued by a branch,
  1 21 department, agency, or entity of the state of Iowa or
  1 22 any other state or the United States authorized to
  1 23 issue personal identification cards.
  1 24    e.  A valid United States passport.
  1 25    f.  A valid employee identification card.
  1 26    g.  A health insurance membership card.
  1 27    h.  A valid student identification card from a
  1 28 public or private school.
  1 29    i.  A valid Iowa hunting or fishing license.
  1 30    j.  A valid United States military identification
  1 31 card.
  1 32    k.  United States military discharge or separation
  1 33 papers.
  1 34    l.  A United States military dependent
  1 35 identification card.
  1 36    m.  A certified copy of the voter's birth
  1 37 certificate.
  1 38    n.  A valid pilot's license.
  1 39    o.  A valid Iowa gun permit.
  1 40    p.  A valid social security card.
  1 41    q.  A certified copy of a naturalization document.
  1 42    r.  A marriage license or certificate.
  1 43    s.  A bureau of Indian affairs or Indian treaty
  1 44 card.
  1 45    t.  A certified copy of a decree of change of name
  1 46 of the voter.
  1 47    PARAGRAPH DIVIDED.  If identification is
  1 48 established to the satisfaction of the precinct
  1 49 election officials, the person may shall then be
  1 50 allowed to vote."
