  1  1    Amend House File 577 as follows:
  1  2    #1.  Page 11, by inserting after line 32 the
  1  3 following:
  1  4    "Sec.    .  NEW SECTION.  476A.24A  PUBLIC BONDS OR
  1  5 OBLIGATIONS AUTHORIZED BY VOTE.
  1  6    Notwithstanding the provisions of section 476A.24,
  1  7 if the board of directors authorize the issuance of
  1  8 public bonds or obligations totaling fifty million
  1  9 dollars or more in the aggregate, the public bonds or
  1 10 obligations shall not be issued until the proposal for
  1 11 the issuance of the public bonds or obligations by the
  1 12 electric power agency has been submitted to and
  1 13 approved by a majority vote of the voters of each city
  1 14 whose municipal utility is a member of the electric
  1 15 power agency."
  1 16    #2.  By renumbering as necessary.
