  1  1    Amend House File 577 as follows:
  1  2    #1.  Page 10, by striking lines 6 through 33 and
  1  3 inserting the following:
  1  4    "2.  Notwithstanding anything in this subchapter or
  1  5 chapter 28F to the contrary, an electric power
  1  6 facility shall not be financed with the proceeds of
  1  7 public bonds or obligations, the interest on which is
  1  8 exempt from federal income tax, unless the public
  1  9 issuer shall comply with the requirements or
  1 10 limitations imposed by the Internal Revenue Code or
  1 11 other applicable federal law to preserve the tax
  1 12 exemption of interest payable on the bonds or
  1 13 obligations."
