  1  1    Amend House File 399 as follows:
  1  2    #1.  Page 39, by inserting before line 5 the
  1  3 following:
  1  4    "Sec. ___.  LEGISLATIVE SALARIES.  For the fiscal
  1  5 year beginning July 1, 2000, and ending June 30, 2001,
  1  6 the annual salaries paid in accordance with section
  1  7 2.10 to members of the general assembly, the speaker
  1  8 of the house, the presiding officer of the senate, and
  1  9 the majority and minority floor leader of each house,
  1 10 shall be reduced by one percent."
  1 11    #2.  By renumbering as necessary.
