  The bill, having received a constitutional majority, was declared to
  have passed the Senate and the title was agreed to.

  IMMEDIATELY MESSAGED

  Senator Iverson asked and received unanimous consent that
  Senate Files 2144, 2299, 2327, and 2365 be immediately
  messaged to the House.

  President Kramer took the chair at 10:21 p.m.

  BUSINESS PENDING

  Senate File 2267

  The Senate resumed consideration of Senate File 2267, a bill for
  an act requiring the board of directors of a school district to adopt a
  contract with parents as part of a student promotion policy for grade
  three level students and providing for related matters, previously
  deferred.

  Senator Connolly offered amendment S-5149, filed by him from
  the floor striking everything after the enacting clause and to the title
  page of the bill.

  Senator Angelo raised the point of order that amendment S-5149
  was not germane to the bill.

  Senator Angelo asked and received unanimous consent to
  withdraw his question of germaneness.

  Senator Connolly moved the adoption of amendment S-5149.
