JOURNAL OF THE HOUSE

The House met pursuant to adjournment at 9:00 a.m., Speaker
Siegrist in the chair.
Prayer was offered by Reverend Ron Wymer, pastor of the Church
of Christ, Missouri Valley.
The Journal of Tuesday, March 28, 2000 was approved.
SPECIAL PRESENTATION
Prior to convening, the Honorable Donna Barry, state represen-
tative from Harrison County introduced to the House ninety-seven
4th, 5th, and 6th graders from Woodbine Elementary who performed a
musical program in the House Chamber. They were accompanied by
teachers Susie Gaedke, Deb Barry, Don Groff, Shawna Paskert, Myra
Hazard, Todd Donels, Bev Hall, Kristi Rummel, Superintendent, Dr.
Hazard and Principal, Kathy Waite.
The House rose and expressed its appreciation.
MESSAGES FROM THE SENATE
The following messages were received from the Senate:
Mr. Speaker: I am directed to inform your honorable body that the Senate has on
March 27, 2000, passed the following bill in which the concurrence of the Senate was
asked:
House File 2279, a bill for an act relating to the renewal date for a license issued by
the board of educational examiners.
Also: That the Senate has on March 28, 2000, passed the following bill in which the
concurrence of the House is asked:
Senate File 2435, a bill for an act relating to appropriations for the department of
human services and including other provisions and appropriations involving human
services and health care, providing effective dates, and providing for retroactive
applicability.
