IMMEDIATE MESSAGES

Rants of Woodbury asked and received unanimous consent that
the following bills be immediately messaged to the Senate: House
Files 2485 and Senate File 2147.

House File 2311, a bill for an act relating to child support
including medical support and payment of costs to financial
institutions for data matching and automation program development,
was taken up for consideration.

Kettering of Sac asked and received unanimous consent to
withdraw amendment H-8247 filed by him on March 7, 2000.

SENATE FILE 2254 SUBSTITUTED FOR HOUSE FILE 2311

Boddicker of Cedar asked and received unanimous consent to
substitute Senate File 2254 for House File 2311.

Senate File 2254, a bill for an act relating to child support
including medical support and payment of costs to financial
institutions for data matching and automation program development,
was taken up for consideration.

Kettering of Sac offered amendment H-8274 filed by him as
follows:

1 Amend Senate File 2254, as passed by the Senate, as
2 follows:
3 1. Page 1, by striking lines 17 and 18, and
4 inserting the following:
5 "Sec. ___. Section 252I.4, subsections 3 and 4,
6 Code Supplement 1999, are amended to read as follows:"
7 2. Page 2, by inserting after line 19 the
8 following:
9 "4. a. The a financial institution is immune from
10 any liability in any action or proceeding, whether
11 civil or criminal, which might otherwise be incurred
12 or imposed for any of the following:
