The House met pursuant to adjournment at 8:53 a.m., Jacobs of
Polk in the chair.
Prayer was offered by Reverend Joel Rose, pastor of Fellowship
Baptist Church, Tama.
The Journal of Tuesday, February 29, 2000 was approved.
LEAVE OF ABSENCE
Leave of absence was granted as follows:
Carroll of Poweshiek, until his arrival, on request of Rants of Woodbury; Frevert of
Palo Alto on request of Murphy of Dubuque.
INTRODUCTION OF BILLS
House File 2527, by committee on state government, a bill for an
act relating to mandatory disclosures in certain political telephone
communications, and applying a penalty.
Read first time and placed on the calendar.
House File 2528, by committee on local government, a bill for an
act relating to the condemnation of private property for certain public
purposes and providing an effective date.
Read first time and placed on the calendar.
House File 2529, by committee on state government, a bill for an
act providing for the regulation of fire protection systems and
personnel, making an appropriation, and providing civil and criminal
penalties.
Read first time and placed on the calendar.
