and passage was taken up for consideration.
The House stood at ease at 9:12 a.m., until the fall of the gavel.
The House resumed session and consideration of House File 2408,
at 9:48 a.m., Speaker Siegrist in the chair.
Martin of Scott offered the following amendment H-8056 filed by
the committee on appropriations and moved its adoption:
H-8056
1 Amend House File 2408 as follows:
2 1. Page 16, by striking lines 8 and 9 and
3 inserting the following:
4 "Sec. 12. NEW SECTION. 249A.18a RESIDENT
5 ASSESSMENT.
6 a nursing facility as defined in section 135C.1
7 shall complete a resident assessment".
The committee amendment H-8056 was adopted.
SENATE FILE 2193 SUBSTITUTED FOR HOUSE FILE 2408
Martin of Scott asked and received unanimous consent to sub-
stitute Senate File 2193 for House File 2408.
Senate File 2193, a bill for an act relating to the establishment of
a senior living program, including the creation of a senior living trust
fund, providing for the development and provision of senior living
program information and electronic access, providing for a caregiver
support and education program, providing for a senior living
insurance policy and incentives study, providing for allocation of the
moneys in the senior living trust fund, making appropriations, and
providing an effective date, and providing for retroactive
applicability, was taken up for consideration.
