The House met pursuant to adjournment at 1:12 p.m., Speaker 
Corbett in the chair.
Prayer was offered by Erin Leonard, page in the Iowa Senate from 
Gavla-Holstein High School, Holstein.
The Journal of Thursday, February 25, 1999 was approved.
THE PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE
The Pledge of Allegiance was led by Keith West, a student from 
Ankeny High School.  He is the guest of the Honorable Carmine Boal, 
state representative from Polk County.
PETITION FILED
The following petition was received and placed on file:
By Barry of Harrison from seventeen constituents of the 82nd 
district opposing Senate File 37, an act legalizing a hunting season 
for mourning doves.
LEAVE OF ABSENCE
Leave of absence was granted as follows:
Mertz of Kossuth on request of Schrader of Marion; Larson of Linn and Garman of 
Story, until their arrival, on request of Siegrist of Pottawattamie; Drake of 
Pottawattamie, until his arrival, on request of Blodgett of Cerro Gordo. 
INTRODUCTION OF BILLS

providing for the membership of the advisory board to the Leopold
