1 1 Section 1. Section 481A.130, subsection 1, unnumbered
1 2 paragraph 1, Code 1999, is amended to read as follows:
1 3 In addition to the penalties for violations of this chapter
1 4 and chapters 350, 461A, 481B, and 482, and rules adopted under
1 5 the specified chapters, a person convicted of unlawfully
1 6 selling, taking, catching, killing, injuring, destroying, or
1 7 having in possession any animal, shall reimburse the state for
1 8 the value of such as follows:
1 9 EXPLANATION
1 10 This bill provides that the civil penalties specified for
1 11 unlawfully selling, taking, injuring, destroying, or
1 12 possessing a listed game or wild animal are in addition to
1 13 criminal penalties for violating Code chapters 350, 461A,
1 14 481A, 481B, and 482, and rules adopted under the specified
1 15 Code chapters. Under current law, the rules adopted under the
1 16 listed Code chapters are not specifically included.
